You need a business plan. As they say “… if you don’t have a business plan, then you are planning to fail.”
If you are feeling overwhelmed by filling in a 30 page business plan, then this workshop is for you. Facilitated by Jane Del Rosso and Kylie Suich from The Business of Food, along with a financial whiz and a marketing expert.
Make the most of having four experts in their field, take you through:
the steps of developing a ‘Lean Business Plan’ with achievable goals that match your packaged food business idea
introduced to the basics of business finances and what the standard overheads are for a packaged food business
introduced to the basics of marketing a food product and assisted to start preparing a marketing plan for your business.
You will leave:
knowing what information you need to gather about your proposed packaged food business and a ‘kick start’ on the preparation of your own lean business plan
with an understanding of the costs of operating your business which include production of your product, standard overheads; your time and staff costs
knowing how to plan a cashflow that will support your operations over the first twelve months in business
with marketing techniques to use for your business and a ‘kick start’ on the beginning of a marketing plan for your business.
Two day event from 9.30-4.30pm, run over two weeks. The second day is 24 November. Maximum of 12 people.
