During his time as a business owner Glen’s Restaurants were often featured in Gourmet Traveller ‘Best New Restaurants 2014’, The Age Good Food Guide, Epicure, Qantas In Flight Magazine and Broadsheet just to name a few.

He started in the Hospitality Industry in 1997, taking a Bar Attendants role at the new Crown Casino, whilst completing his Cert IV at William Angliss.

After five years managing several venues and working on Cruise ships in Europe, Glen opened his first venture, the very successful Tazio at 66 Flinders Lane. Serving ‘Nonna’ style Italian food and Pizza alongside an extensive drinks list. The 80 seat Pizzeria and Boutique beer bar still exists today, remaining virtually unchanged from when it was sold in mid 2010.

After Tazio he consulted on two separate venues in the CBD, and then opened the critically acclaimed Chester White in Hawthorn. This 150-seat neighbourhood bistro changed the standard of what the average Melbourne diner expected from ‘their local’. Producing food and beverage on a large scale without compromising quality. Kids were also well looked after with quality offerings and ipads for entertainment.

A short break ensured inspiration for the next venue, which popped up at the start of 2014. The very popular Northern Light on Smith Street in Collingwood. Meshing Korean and Japanese food with quirky drink options, this venue made it acceptable to enjoy quality food and drink, and exceptional chef’s menu’s whilst sitting on a bar stool in a very informal setting.

In addition to the above Glen has also contributed to the growth of San Pellegrino in Melbourne, assisting the brand with key clientele in the CBD and Sante Wines where he applied his passion for quality wine to help establish the brand in regional Victoria.

His knowledge of this often dynamic and ever-changing industry is exceptional, which enables him to have a great understanding into his client’s requests and demands.

Glen is currently embarking on a new venture with the creation of Launch Pad H which is a hospitality company that specialises in ‘End to End’ solutions.
